Tourism for All

Inclusive Tourism is about all people having the opportunity to travel regardless of factors such as disability or age and caters to the needs of a full range of consumers including cross-generational families. Barriers to tourism can take many forms from physical barriers to attitudinal ones. Inclusive Tourism eco system ensures removal of existing barriers, avoids creating new ones and universal accessibility in the physical environment, in transportation, information and communications systems. It encompasses publicly and privately owned tourist locations.

Since 1998, Samarthyam has been promoting Tourism for All under its project Incredible India: Inclusive India. Tourism for All is a dream come true for travelers with disabilities. We are engaged with several international and national agencies on regional networking, advocacy, policy development, research and data collection, and capacity building on improving accessibility.

What We Do

We conduct accessibility audits and support tourism service providers, hotel and hospitality industry, and policy makers to make tourism sites and hotels accessible for persons with cross disability population.
